Kelly Elder was born and raised in Orange County, and, though she has briefly lived in other places, she feels most at home in Old Towne Orange, with its historic architecture, antique furniture, vintage cars, and small-town vibe and lifestyle.
Kelly is entrepreneurially minded. Before becoming a licensed real estate professional, she owned her own business, where she worked as an abstractor of title. Later, when she and her husband, Chris, flipped their first home, she realized her aptitude for interior design. By 2013, she was helping homeowners design homes to fit their comforts. And since 2017, Kelly has managed her business as a certified home stager and has worked alongside brokers to move clients’ properties quickly and earn them top dollar. With the dynamic background that helps clients sell their homes faster — and for more money — Kelly became a real estate professional.
Authenticity, communication, and honesty are Kelly’s priorities. “Having an optimistic, can-do attitude is what has led me to success with my clients,” she says. “That I get to help others find and buy a home, not just to live in but to create a quality life, feels meaningful. It’s more than just a job to me. It’s a way of life.”
Kelly’s affection for Old Towne Orange is ongoing. She’s an enthusiastic civic booster and supports Orange Home Grown, a nonprofit that runs a farmers market in her neighborhood and cultivates a micro farm in town. She also partners with Helping Heroes, a project that furnishes houses for previously homeless veterans. Family is the cornerstone of Kelly’s life. Whenever they have time to spare, she and Chris enjoy taking their boys, Zane and Logan, hiking to appreciate the natural beauty of the area.
